I have NOT been taking it easy because as most of you know me, I am a mover and a shaker. I am now bathing myself, brushing my own hair and preparing my meals. Yesterday I made lunch all by myself, granted it took me about an hour and half, but I did it. Thankfully my mom came over this morning and cleaned up my kitchen. After all that cooking I was worn out. I stayed alone Friday night for the first time since surgery and that went as good as could be expected.
So now about my field trips! I got to have a girls night last night which was LONG overdue. My bestie picked me up and we went to Maudie's and had a mexican martini and chips and salsa and quesadillas, so good. 3 of my other gf's were there too which was so nice. I even managed to put on make up, straighter my hair with my Chi and wore a cute jumper. Clothing is limited these days! About 3 hours later I was popping a pain pill and watching movies on my couch....that was quite the outing! And then this morning my mom came and and we went to 24 Diner for brunch and I felt human again but still very tired by the time I got home, especially since my last pain pill had worn off about this time.
Then Kody came and picked me up and took me out to Pace Bend Park and we picnicked and sat in the water and soaked up some Vitamin D for about 3 hours. Putting on a bathing suit was not fun as I am still very puffy/swollen around my chest area but I managed it. It was the best day I've had short of girls night last night. I've always been a big fan and believer in the amazing effects of Vitamin D. I felt like a million bucks the whole day! On the way home, we stopped at my fave restaurant, Jack Allen's and had dinner. By the time we left, boy was I hurting all over. I did not give into the pain and take a pain pill but I did take my muscle relaxer and some IBProfen when I got home and put those ice packs to work. After a movie on the couch I went to bed. What a great day!
