I can also do lower body workouts now but I need to make sure I wear a snug sports bra. So off I went shopping today and found a really neat one that hooks in the back like a regular bra but is workout material; I love it! I found it at Dillard's and it was only $36 compared to the ones I really liked at Victoria's Secret but those were $56 and up - no thanks! I will probably sleep in this bra too as it's really comfy and still has underwire, to help the girls stay forward.
I don't have to go back for 2 weeks but we did go ahead and scheduled my nipple reconstruction for 12/19/14 because his schedule was getting booked up. My new insurance starts over on January 1 so if I decided to do the NR, I want to get it done before then. My work is switching to a brand new insurance and I've already paid my deductible and out of pocket max. Might as well take FULL advantage! The NR will be another out patient surgery, taking about 1 hour and I will have local anesthesia with sedation. The recovery should be super simple and I could do the areola tattooing a month or 2 later to complete this entire process!
OH, did I tell you in my previous post that the day of my exchange surgery, I woke up from anesthesia as they were pulling the tube out of my throat?!? Thank gawd I was still so loopy or I fear I'd be super traumatized!
I still can't massage my new boobies so they are pretty hard and not really settled. They are still a bit swollen but doc said not too bad and a big improvement from last Friday. He really did a wonderful job and I think that now I can give them a break from the underwire bra, I will finally start to fall in love with them. I need to remember to be patient, take in every day and each experience and have faith that in time, they will be exactly what I need and want them to be.
